Why do people in Argentina speak Spanish not Italian?
I heard that if correct, most people in Argentina originated in Italy ... if that's the case (or some), why the people there speak Spanish and not Italian? or that some of them also speak Italian?
Admittedly, 60% of Argentines have Italian blood, but that does not necessarily mean "full of blood," there are people who only have one grandparent he was Italian and so on. Moreover, the Italians came slowly, not that they came and took over. Also there was a group of people who migrated from other countries and mixed, and Spanish was as the "lingua franca" in Argentina, and spoken by the majority. Some people speak Italian, however, families trying to preserve their heritage and so on. One example that I think is interesting for comparison in the USA: the largest group of ancestry among whites is German, but almost no one speaks German there.
