NLP Mind

NLP is an art and a science. It is based on the idea that sensory information around us is translated into thoughts and ideas that affect our state, physiology and behavior and therefore our results. Our words also affect our experience and the experience of others. NLP teaches us how to use communication more effective. NLP also tells us that the information that the code or represent ourselves in certain ways. How we do code information varies between events we perceive as positive and negative. NLP teaches specific strategies and techniques that can learn to represent this information differently to produce better results. These strategies are taught in NLP courses and NLP training during the courses Practitioner.

The communication model NLP explains clearly how we process and use information and how it affects our state, physiology and behavior. Is why it is a good starting point for therapy and I'll always explain it to clients who attend their first session of NLP and Hypnotherapy. This model was taught to me during my professional training course People Building NLP with a training company of NLP. It is a tool I find invaluable. It's really important for customers to understand this model in order to be able to make changes to how they view their world.

What we know is that every second we are bombarded by sensory feedback (about 2 million bits of information per second) of our 5 senses Visual (sight), auditory (hearing), kinesthetic (feeling and touch), olfactory (smell) Gustatory and tasting (). At one point we are selective about the information to pay attention because one can not expect to process all the information. Memory theorists suggest we can handle or remember about 7 new bits of information at once.

Means the filter that the 2 million bits of information in about 7 bits. The way we do that is, excluding, distortion or generalization. Suppression means that do not show the information that is not relevant at the time, the distortion means to adapt the information to fit with the who believe or are looking to, generalization helps us to relate new information to what we already know. These three processes are essential, they prevent us from being overloaded with information and allow us to function.

However, what this means is that we also do not have the complete picture, because we have ignored or changed information during the filtering process. Using the 7 bits of information that we have filtered out to recreate the event in our mind. This is called an internal representation. This means that what we represent to ourselves inside our minds is never true to what is actually happening in the event

Our internal representations are a re-presentation of the original information after filtering. Because information we collect is via our 5 senses, our internal representations are made of thoughts, feelings, sounds, sights, smells and tastes. Importantly, our way of representing or code information in our internal representation affects how we feel, which in turn affects our physiology and behavior. The we know is that happy people tend to filter and represent information differently to people depressed or anxious. More importantly, through cognitive therapy, as NLP or hypnotherapy, Herts, people experiencing mental distress can learn to filter in a way that allows up to date insights and different emotional experience.

The model of communication is something you will learn by attending a course in NLP as a doctor or a course of NLP master practitioner. People Building, a company training in NLP, NLP taster run free events during which the communication model of NLP is taught.
