Dean Koontz

And it is settled in Frankenstein, Dean Koontz, when the lightning flashed, and the cat jumped. With online radar, I was prepared for the arrival of the storm, friendly atmosphere of horror, supernatural, tension and mystery-all, Koontz-type stuff that he and the weather is damn good. I looked at the number on the last page, a bit disappointed that the last book of the trilogy was the first 100 pages shy. And then he prayed for the novel.

I started reading Dean Koontz about five years ago. I knew him before, but ignored the fiction writer, I spent my time reading history, politics and classical literature. If I had looked and saw someone reading one of his novels on the airlines, I smile indulgently, and then return to My very important book. "I thank God changes everything, sometimes even me, especially after a good friend gave me Odd Thomas.

Most importantly in the novel, Odd Thomas is a True Love: an affair between Odd-short-order cook of Pico Mundo, who sees the dead and Stormy Llewellyn, his beautiful dark-haired girl. At the age of porn-inspired sex life, their love affair is a storm tenderness, surprise and a pleasant, pragmatism Stormy women.

Koontz loves people and it shows the characters like Odd Thomas, his own modest genius hunt down the killers who have stayed awake for the hungry, shadows demons flying around the future of the victims, drawn in the direction of impending violence. Then there's Frankenstein Deucalion, 200-year-old monster, who is aware of his soul, the connection with God and destiny, to destroy his "Maker-mad scientist whose Replicants will used to replace humanity. Dean Koontz's villains are terrifying and hard to turn away from, and his heroic form seem to be chained to their folly, they suffer setbacks, but the fight to the front, holding the reader tuned to what our best.

Koontz understands that evil is not only a lust for chaos and murder, but murder of civilization, the destruction of the idea, starting with the idea of freedom. Koontz weapons Western ideals, when, for example, the wife of Dr. Frankenstein Replicant consoles from Emily Dickinson after savage beatings by her husband, and Deucalion and detectives who help him prepare for the battle that will probably cost their lives. By such a modest and spectacular characters, Koontz tells us that the Western art, history and religion is not only worth fighting for is worth our research and our love.

Often in the history of Koontz villain Assault is a person free will, like communism attack on individual liberties in the last century. The Worker's Paradise "was responsible for the deaths of at least 100 million people, with the exception of victims of both world wars. Dean Koontz knows that story. He also knows that the short order cook of Pico Mundo and two detectives, man and woman, no doubt difficult, and clearly in love, sometimes in our line of defense against the tsunami of evil.

In TrainingNational Catholic Register (blog)Simcha, I just finished reading Dean Koontz's latest book this weekend. His works over the last decade have had recurring themes, one of which is the kind of training I think you mean: that is, being ready to face the moral challenge when it comes.
