Fairy Tales

One of the most popular stories of all time "Hansel and Gretel" shares its general outline, with some of the most endearing and disturbing tales exist. For this design, both the potential cruelty of the parents shows together the darkness of a world without food and the ability of children to overcome the impossible. The World of the Dark Ages "is different to represent what we often did not want people to love their size, want adventure, and the people for food.

It is no coincidence that the French Revolution occurred during a bread shortage, or that the Russian revolution was starving on the heels. Those with high-sounding ideals in these two cases had fought for years that people stand up for freedom, but freedom is, as always in the background, for food and safety. For the farmers are at risk of starvation is very real, and life is very dark, yes.

It is perhaps the need for food that prevent the causes of the idea of cannibalism, as in folklore, witches, the evil stepmother in "The Juniper Tree" Folklore is with those others, especially children eating would be ripe. And so it has to do with the "Hansel and Gretel" motif, where desperation drives for food, the people who are contemptuous of actions, the task of dying children and attack them for food. One can argue that it is now the stepmother of the children, to the clever, but that was simply not the Bear case in the original story by the Brothers Grimm Brothers did not seem to have the dark reality of life and the stories came out running, so the mother for the stepmother.

Molly Whuppie shows the dark reality of perhaps one of the clearest manner possible, for parents who have too many children do without they die in the woods. It is interesting to see how well the children to forgive the children in all these stories, however, because if the children make their fortune on overcoming the cannibalistic Intents of forests, they usually return to their parents or at least one parent. It is always interesting to note that the parents leave their children to the Rogue of these stories is usually a large animal in the woods, which will devour the children in the last game must kill or be eaten.

Molly Whuppie History characterized as one of the greatest examples of this game, for the starving children will find a friendly women who take them into account and then tried it from her Husband to protect monstrous. In the oldest of three girls again this last series of plays tricks, always the father slit the throats of his daughters and later beat his wife to death, even if the wife Molly exempt from certain death. Certainly, the huge man had tried to kill Molly and her sisters, but the sisters had done nothing to deserve her death.

The woman also had its merits, because she had tried to save the children from starving to death. The message of this story will It would seem, is that if the children should play to the sympathies of the rich hunger hits, steal, or of them, for they have all the houses of food. Then their children should trick, these rich benefactors to their deaths in order to steal their treasures. For this, the grim reality of the fairy-tale world, where we lived have.

The films are set in the real world, but dealing with the material of the fairy tales?

I just learned about a miniseries called the 10th kingdom that seems to do this. Also I remember a while back where they found the skeletal remains of Jack and Beanstalk, and the story went from there. Any other films like this that are set in a realistic world, but much material from fairy tales, or are different spins on fairy tales?

I LOVE the United Tenth! Another is Stardust and Enchanted. Bewitched, but not really anything. A Cinderella Story, Another Cinderella Story.
