Fans of Ernest Hemingway: is his best book "For Whom the Bell Tolls
I've always liked "The Sun Also Rises" because every time I read it, I identify with it differently. For me all the characters have different parts of the human condition and therefore everyone emulates least a couple of times in your life depending on where you are at point X in time. I have a half-dozen books that are just testing the novel and know it well. In general, the literature of Hemingway, I do it for me as most of the other authors of the Lost Generation, like Fitzgerald, Dreiser, etc., but "The Sun Also Rises" is ultimately my favorite book of all time. It goes against the machismo that characterizes many of his books and really makes him seem vulnerable in my mind.
