Jon Jenkins - Flow $15.18 Personnel: Jon Jenkins; David Helpling, Jeff Pearce, Howard Givens (electric guitar).Recorded at Spotted Peccary Studios, Encinitas, California.Jon Jenkins does superior, ambient keys, composing, and performing 11 tranceworld pieces. As Steve Roach, Robert Rich, Giles Reaves, Michael Stearns, Vidna Obmana, or Jeff Greinke would deliver, so Jenkins offers us a classic. Moody, spaced, subdued, tribal, introspective, relaxing, flowing, dream-imaged music abides within Flow. Peter Buffet and Tim Story stylings in piano portions are pleasantly evident. That Michael Shrieve-styled percussion effect appears here and there. Best comparisons on this CD would be Roach`s Dreamtime Return crossed with Buffet`s The Waiting. There resides a yearning and inner resolve in each track, coupled with understanding and depth of soul. Jenkins` work inspires and heals. David Helping, Jeff Pearce, and Howard Givens contribute ambient electric guitars on assorted tracks. ~ John W. Patterson Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved. |
