"Key to Conflict by Talia Gryphon Urban Fantasy is a feisty heroine reminiscent of Laurell K. Hamilton 's Anita Blake. The premise is promising -- Gillian Key is a complex mixture of hard-core Marine and a psychologist to the paranormal community.
Â
Gillian Key, therapists, the paranormal community, has a special patient in Romania - a beautiful seductive vampire Count Alexei Rachlav, suffering from fangxiety-better known as a vampire depression. Mostly their Customer them there is also a special investigation reports of a power op-bid of Dracula. The paranormal world peacefully with the people there were until now, but when Dracula reigns The war will break out and people are his slaves. Gillian tried to keep their work separate and professionally. But when Aleksei, an ancient vampire world, she discovers her double Identity, he decides it is his duty to protect them, and Gillian have to prove she can take care of itself.
Â
There's plenty Action, danger and sex in this story. Gryphon throws everything but the kitchen sink into an action that sometimes goes off track. It moves from Romania to Egypt, England and even Jack the Ripper appears as a vampire. The supernatural characters are varied - seductive vamps, lycans, elves, ghosts, and more. They are all sexy, well developed and interesting than the human characters. The heroine, Gillian, is a woman with human frailties - strong willed, argumentative and volatile. It is also independent and beautiful and sought after by every male in the book. Continue reading about all the men who so desire it gets old pretty fast. This is the first part of a Trilogy, and despite the shortcomings, there is potential for an entertaining series.

Sci-Fi Book Recommendation - Favorite Authors Orson Scott Card & Vernor Vinge?
Looking for a recommendation for my next sci-fi read. My favorite authors are Orson Scott Card and Vernor Vinge. I prefer the books on the nature of the series, but a strong independent position story will run. So if you have a recommendation for these tastes, please let me know! Thanks! PS - specific book / books in this series would be appreciated! Ty Sorry, if you are unfamiliar with the authors noted. I tend to lean toward the genre of hard science versus the fantasy. :)
I have not found anyone to blow me away as CSOs. VV have not tried, so take a look. Thank You! Try: Forever series - Joe Haldeman Revelation Space and sequels - Alastair Reynolds Dune - Frank Herbert Isaac Asimov Ray Bradbury
