Anne Perry

Kathy Reichs Kathleen Joan Toelle was born in 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. She received a BA in anthropology at American University in 1971. She received her MA in Anthropology in 1972 and his PhD in 1975 from Northwestern University. She is also professionally trained in archeology. She is one of only about 60 forensic anthropologists certified by the American Board of forensic analysis where it is also a board member.

Kathy says, as a child, she had a great interest in archeology and was an avid mystery reading Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys. Kathy Reichs wears many hats. Besides being a wife and mother, (she married lawyer Paul Reichs and they have three children), she is professor of Anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She also taught at Northern Illinois University, University of Pittsburgh, Concordia University and McGill University. She divides her time between North Carolina and Quebec, where he works in the Laboratory Sciences et Judicaires Medical leagal. She is also Director of Forensic Anthropology of the Providence of Quebec. She went to Quebec, first as part of a program that allows teachers to exchange positions a year. Kathy explains that the forensic anthropologist is often asked for a case in which a body is very decomposed, burned, mummified, mutilated, or skeletonized for an autopsy normal. Not rare that the remains be brought to the identification and they turn out to be animal or bird. Kathy forensic edited books and written several newspaper articles. In 1997, she had her first book of fiction published.

His series of books based on the character of Forensic Anthropology, Dr. Temperance Brennan. This series of books inspired the TV series "Bones", with Kathy as Executive Producer. "Bones" is the name Seeley Booth, Dr. Temperance Brennan partner FBI, the flame. "Bones" is loosely based on the number of Kathy Reich book. Dr. Temperance Brennan, besides being a forensic anthropologist at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington, working in close collaboration with the FBI, also writes best-selling books with his protagonist, and Kathy Reichs. Kathy played a small role in one of the Bones "episodes, playing a forensic anthropologist who is a member of Zach Addy, the dissertation committee. She says she would love to see Dr. Temperance Brennan portrayed in a movie, but is waiting for the right offer. Kathy Reichs was a member of the Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team participates in cleaning the World Trade Center, which she said was the hardest thing she ever had to do. Kathy has worked on projects with the disaster team of the National System of Medicine. She is also an expert in criminal proceedings. Kathy identified the victims of genocide in Guatemala, and appeared to testify before the Genocide of the United Nations in Rwanda. She also trains officers in Quantico, the FBI Academy.
