Lisa Scottoline

With thousands of books per year in all kinds of topics from business to science to religion, it is impossible to read all the books released. Fortunately The New York Times gives us some help, releasing and constantly updating the list of best-sellers of all the topics you can imagine. Here are the best-sellers current for four different categories.

Hardcover Fiction
The number 3 best-selling fiction hardcover is Daddy's Girl by Lisa Scottoline. This is a breathtaking thriller that keeps the reader's attention and keep it without reading-stop. The number 2 book of nonfiction is Shopaholic & Baby Sophie Kinsella. This book takes the main character, Becky, in the midst of a possible love triangle with her husband and his ex-girlfriend as she shops for the perfect world for your baby. Finally, the number 1 best-seller is Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. This is another contemporary thriller by Picoult about a school shooting.

Hardcover Non-Fiction
The number 3 non-fiction bestseller list in the New York Times is "I Feel Bad About My Neck" by Nora Ephron. This book discusses comedy the subject of aging, especially aging women. The number 2 of the book is "A Long Way Gone 'by Ishmael Beah, which takes into account the life of a young age 12 who is drawn into the world of terrible civil war. The best-selling time to non-fiction is' In An Instant "by Lee and Bob Woodruff. This tells the story of the traumatic experience Bob Woodruff experienced in Iraq and how he and Lee Woodruff worked through the difficult times after.

Children
Number 3 in the list of children's books is Flotsam by David Wiesner. It starts as a boy finds a camera that is washed ashore, and there is an adventure full of photos. The number 2 best-seller is Today I'm flying! by Mo Willems, which tells the story of a piggie who is optimistic about flying and an elephant that is skeptical. With a little help from other people, amazing things happen. Finally, the number of a book is Someday by Alison McGhee, who tells a charming story of the dream a mother coming true, observing the child to live life to the fullest.

Religion
The number 3 is the religious book five love languages by Gary Chapman. This book guides you learn to understand and speak the original language of love through the guidance of a couple. The second book in the list of best-seller is by Richard Dawkins entitled The God Delusion. Richard Dawkins attacks arguments for the existence of God in this controversial book. The number one religious book on the market is free by Anne Lamott, which leads to life LaMott in the field of reality as problems of faith appear in unexpected places.

There are hundreds of books written brilliantly the market, even within the four categories listed above. But from the best-selling New York Times is a good place to start. Enjoy!

Readers Block?

I finished all my books and am looking for recommendations. I'm just having trouble finding new books to read - by So I'm in a block reader. I liked the previous book: Picture Perfect - Jodi Picoult Catcher in the Rye - JD Salinger The Stand - Stephen King The Art of Racing in the Rain - Garth Stein Gone With the Wind - Margaret Mitchell Daddy's Girl - Lisa Scottoline WaterGoddess, it seems that every book listed I've read and enjoyed! Why, Maxwell is my puppy dog, and thanks you Thanks for the compliment.

The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials Series # 1) by Philip Pullman books good to read, well written. The books are much better then the movie. Very significant, but has plenty of action and character development too. Alanna: The First Adventure (Song Leone Series # 1) by Tamora Pierce best books I have read. Main character grows with books. In other books written Tamora turn again. Nice keep seeing them and what is happening in your life. Strong women also. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Hitchhiker's Guide Series # 1) by Douglas Adams tells you the meaning of life. That is 42. British humor. When Lightning Strikes (1-800-WHERE-R-You Series # 1) by Meg Cabot Fun light reading. Recommend this more books then I thought it would. JK Rowling's Harry Potter Umm, duh. The Host by Stephenie Meyer interesting writer, with an important story in one. All good books worth reading. PS - Cute Dog. :-) ~
