The main difference between us and others to the extent that religion is the Bible refers to not only believe in the Bible, we believe that the revelations of God and the works that formed the Bible still continue today. So instead of reading the bible for "things that" reads like a constant work of God, the prophets who live today as always God calls and worked through in the past.
