For some reason, I'm not exactly clear, I do not think biographies or autobiographies to be that interesting. That does not mean that there are no interesting people out there there. For some reason I did not find reading about other people, so interesting. This book is an exception.
It is actually two books, not type: My Life in Advertising and Scientific Advertising. The first is the autobiography. The second is Hopkins' tips and strategies for the most of your advertising and marketing efforts.
For if I really enjoyed reading a biography. I think that is the reason that Hopkins did not spend a lot of time talking about his life. He talks about his life, he simply did not spend much time on it and say what he really is interesting. Something else that is his biography interesting that he actually talks through various promotional campaigns, he was doing and how they succeed.
In other words, he does not want a fatal mistake that makes most autobiography: he goes not in and of themselves, to bore you to pieces.
The second book is Scientific Advertising, and this is the most important classics in the field of advertising and text. This book is so important that someone writes that says this copy of the legendary copywriter David Ogilvy, you need to read it at least seven times.
Many of the techniques described in this book that copywriters use today are techniques invented by Hopkins. Hopkins covers all the key elements to write the copy, To tell headlines, history, art and a copy of your. He also shows how to test your campaigns so you do not waste your money on campaigns that work not.
Whether you are a copywriter or an entrepreneur who wants to get more from your advertising, this book is a classic and a must read.
My Life in Advertising and Scientific Advertising by Claude Hopkins are a must for anyone who is on the writing of advertising that makes the money more difficult to read.
