Is it a good idea for a truck driver otr to become an owner / operator?
What are the ups and downs? In addition, anyone knows ..... No automatic transmission tractors have the same performance / power as a standard tractor? I know this is not a standard P & S, but the question I figured more people would come here. Galaz, if you are qualified why not really answer the question itself? His advice would have been appreciated.
You will make more money as a landlord, but you also have to pay for all maintenance on his truck and trailer. Moreover fees for driving. If you work for a company that guarantees that runs each week or month that would be good for you. Owners get near 78% of a race and most company drivers receive 28% of a race. If you can get a career devoted to going everyday thats guaranteed money and would also be another factor in their decision making.
