When most people think of Audio Books, what comes to mind is usually basic information that is not particularly interesting or beneficial. But there is more to Audio Books than just the basics.
Most of this information comes directly from the pros Audio Books. Careful reading to the end virtually guarantees you will know what they know.
Despite how great CDs are, many people still prefer audiocassettes to them, especially when it comes to listening audio books.
Below are some of the reasons why:
One, Audio books on CD format can not contain more than 75 minutes, but the content of audio tapes may contain up to 90 whole minutes (and in many cases much more) of narration.
I agree that you can have all the audio book spread across multiple CDs, but many people do not like to carry around too many CDs.
So, when you may need just a few audio cassettes a particular audio book, you probably have many more CDs for the same audio book.
Two, most people do not like to spend money buying extra books audio CD, when you can get the same audio book cheaper in audio cassettes.
For example, while a full version of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire "on 12 audiotapes can be purchased for only $ 31.96 at Barnes & Noble Web site, the CD format from Barnes & Noble costs almost double the amount - just $ 55.96 for 17 sets of CDs!
Of course, not that they want to rip you off - it's simply because it costs much more to produce CDs than it does for the production of audio cassettes.
Three, when you turn off the CD player while listening to an audio book, you not be able to resume from a point where it stopped. With a tape, you can start from the same exact point it left off.
With CDs can be frustrating when driving because each time you turn off the car, it would mean restarting the audio book or trying to pinpoint exactly where you left off.
Of course there are CD players, most modern and advanced that you can now save your location when you turn off your car, allowing you to resume the exact point you left.
This will not work when you turn off the car and remove the CD. But it will work with a cassette tape!
Four, because audio books are mainly just narration, many users do not see why they should spend the extra money to buy CDs because of problems recording quality when you can get close enough the same quality with audiocassettes.
Their argument is that if a sound quality "that they wanted, they would go to the audio books in CD, but the sound quality is the same with cassettes and audio CDs when it comes to audio books.
In more succinct terms - "the voice of humans (without drums and other musical paraphernalia) has very little to gain from the depth and clarity that comes with digital recordings in CD format!
There is much to understand about Audio Books. We were able to provide you with some of the facts above, but there is still much more to write about in subsequent articles.

You need to have a tape recorder. This can be a normal recorder, with a line-in port or a specific device for recording on tape. Although outdated, you can usually find one of these at RadioShack or BestBuy or the BuyMore. lol. Then you connect a CD player that is playing your MP3 CD.
